Community Impact Program
Youth Sports Support
Helping local children participate in organized sports by reducing financial barriers to fees, uniforms, equipment, and community sports opportunities.
Every child deserves a chance to play.
For many families, the cost of registration, school pay-to-participate fees, uniforms, cleats, protective equipment, or other required expenses can determine whether a child is able to join a team. This program is designed to help close that gap.
Fees & Registration
Support may help cover school pay-to-participate fees, youth league registration, required team fees, or other approved participation costs.
Uniforms & Equipment
Assistance may help with uniforms, cleats, athletic shoes, gloves, helmets, protective gear, shin guards, and other required equipment.
Fields & Team Projects
Approved community grants may support nonprofit youth sports organizations with field repairs, shared equipment, safety improvements, and other community needs.
A simple, accountable process.
The Foundation intends to keep applications straightforward while protecting family privacy and maintaining a clear financial trail.
Request Help
A parent, guardian, school, coach, league, or community partner contacts the Foundation about a financial barrier.
Review Need
The Foundation reviews the request under the program's eligibility and available-funding guidelines.
Approve Support
Approved assistance is matched to the specific participation fee, equipment need, or community project.
Pay Directly
Whenever practical, payment is made directly to the school, league, vendor, or approved organization rather than as unrestricted cash.
Built through local partnerships.
The Foundation does not need to operate sports leagues itself. The goal is to work with the schools, leagues, businesses, volunteers, and community organizations already serving local children.
Schools & Athletic Departments
Partnerships may help identify students facing participation barriers and provide a direct path for approved fee assistance.
Youth Leagues
Baseball, softball, soccer, football, basketball, recreation programs, and other eligible community organizations may participate.
Local Businesses
Businesses can sponsor athletes, provide equipment, donate materials or labor, and help fund community sports projects.
Turn a donation into something tangible.
Suggested sponsorship levels give donors and businesses a simple way to understand the kind of impact their support can make. Actual assistance amounts will depend on program needs and available funding.
| Support Level | Suggested Amount | Example Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Gear Sponsor | $100 | Help with uniforms, cleats, shoes, or required athletic equipment. |
| Athlete Sponsor | $250 | Help cover participation and equipment expenses for a child. |
| Family Sports Sponsor | $500 | Support multiple youth sports expenses for a family experiencing hardship. |
| Team Community Sponsor | $1,000 | Support uniforms, shared equipment, or another approved team need. |
| Community Field Sponsor | $2,500+ | Help fund an approved field, safety, facility, or community sports project. |
Community impact we can measure.
As the program grows, the Foundation intends to track the number of children assisted, participation fees paid, uniforms and equipment provided, organizations supported, community projects completed, business sponsors, grants received, and total community investment—without publicly identifying families receiving assistance.
Help put a child in the game.
Families, schools, youth leagues, businesses, and community partners are invited to contact The Susan Ann Foundation about assistance, partnerships, sponsorships, equipment donations, or future Youth Sports fundraising opportunities.
